Description
Rainbows End is a family-friendly, self-catering holiday home in Cannonville on the banks of the Sundays River. This riverfront retreat offers exclusive use and can accommodate up to 8 guests.
The main house features 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen-size beds and 1 with a double bed, as well as 2 bathrooms. The first bathroom is fitted with a shower-over-bath, while the second is fitted with a shower. For the 7th and 8th guests, a separate flatlet furnished with 2 single beds and a cot, along with its own en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, is available.
The open-plan living area includes a lounge, dining room, and a fully fitted kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, induction plate, air-fryer, kettle, and toaster. There’s also a second lounge with an indoor braai perfect for chilly evenings.
Entertainment includes a 55” UHD TV with DSTV streaming. Outdoor spaces include a north-facing covered patio and a braai area with utensils and LED lighting. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Secure parking is available behind a remote-controlled gate. Guests have exclusive use of the private jetty and mooring, but use thereof at own risk.
Ideally located just 4.2 km from Addo Elephant National Park’s Matyholweni southern gate, Rainbows End offers a peaceful bush-and-beach escape with river views and a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy fishing, canoeing, birdwatching, and various watersports (waterskiing, wakeboarding & tubing) on the 22 km navigable Sundays River. The Sundays River Ferry, just 25 m from Rainbow End's jetty, offers cruises and sandboarding, while local operators provide safaris and guided activities. The nearest airport is 45 km away in Gqeberha.
