Heron House Cottage is located on Rhodene Farm Cottages, just 500 m off a tarred road and 1.5 hours’ drive from Cape Town. The farm lies at the foot of the Skurweberg mountains and offers views over the Ceres valley.

This self-catering cottage is suitable for 2 guests and comprises 1 bedroom furnished with a double antique brass bed. The bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. Bedding, linen, towels, and Wi-Fi are provided.

The open-plan living area includes a lounge with a TV and full DStv, a fireplace, a fan, and underfloor heating. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and oven, microwave, and fridge-freezer. The unit opens onto a covered stoep with a built-in braai.

An exclusive wood-fired hot tub is available just off the verandah and can be pre-booked at an additional cost. It seats up to 4 guests and may also be used as a plunge pool in summer.

Guests have access to walking and cycling trails, bass fishing at the dam, birdwatching, a shared swimming pool, and a children’s play area. The surrounding area offers hiking trails, wineries, and historical landmarks.
