Description

Rietfontein Guest Farm is nestled in the hills between Barrydale and Ladismith and offers guests a choice of 5 self-catering farm cottages. Situated separately and divided by pepper trees and reeds, the cottages are connected by paths or footbridges.

The cottages each have 2 bedrooms that are furnished with double and single beds and a bathroom with a shower. For convenience bedding and towels are available. Each cottage also has an open-plan kitchen that is equipped with a stove and oven, a fridge-freezer as well a dining table. The cottages have a fire area as well as an outdoor braai area. Each of the cottages has a verandah. All cottages now have a private outdoor wood-fired hot tub. Guests need to please bring their own food and beverages.

Rietfontein Guest Farm is at the southern foothills of the rugged Touwsberg Mountains, the area offers lovely views and is situated off-the-beaten-track. The farm offers a network of hiking trails, mountain biking trails and driving routes in the area.
Please take note that we are completely off the grid. There is no Eskom power near us. All cottages have 12V power from Solar for the lights and the stove and geyser works with gas. No 220 volt appliances will work here.
