Riverfront Guesthouse Watermeadows Farm offers lovely self-catering accommodation right on the banks of the beautiful Karatara River, surrounded by indigenous forests and fynbos, located in Ruigtevlei, Sedgefield. It is a short drive from beaches, world-renowned surfing spots, Knysna lagoon, restaurants, bars and a 25-minute drive to the town of Knysna.
The guesthouse accommodates up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, the second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and the third bedroom is furnished with a double bed. Each bathroom is fitted with a shower and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The spacious open-plan living area features a kitchen and a lounge with a fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. This leads to an 8-seater dining table where guests can enjoy their meals. The cosy lounge has comfortable seating for guests to relax. Guests also have access to a patio with braai facilities and outside furniture, where they can enjoy the scenic view. We have a swimming pool and fire pit as well as large jetty to enjoy the beautiful river views and birdlife.
On-site activities include swimming, hiking, fishing, bush walks and birdwatching. Guests can also enjoy golf, cycling, water sports, surfing and wine tasting nearby. This stay is an ideal base from which guests can explore the Garden Route.
