Shepherd’s Cottage offers a tranquil country escape on a working sheep farm near Smithfield in the Free State. This self-catering cottage is just 12 km along a scenic dirt road from the N6, making it the ideal retreat for those seeking peace, fresh air, and an authentic countryside experience. Whether guests wish to relax or are simply passing through, the serene farm setting provides the perfect rural getaway.
The cottage accommodates up to 5 guests and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a single sleeper couch, while the second bedroom also features a double bed. Both bathrooms are fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The unit features a well-equipped kitchen with a gas stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, and a breakfast bar with stools. Freshly baked farm bread, homemade rusks, and tea- and coffee-making facilities are also available. The lounge offers comfortable seating and a fireplace.
