Peaceful off-the-grid cottage in Drakensberg – eco-friendly, scenic, and perfect. We had a truly memorable family stay at the Shiloh Country Cottage, tucked away in the peaceful Southern Drakensberg near Underberg. If you're looking to disconnect from the hustle of daily life, this off-the-grid retreat is the perfect place. The views are absolutely stunning, with nothing but open countryside, fresh air, and birdsong. My nephew loved exploring the garden and outdoor space, while we enjoyed the quiet and stillness – no WiFi, no city noise, just pure nature. The location is also perfect for outdoor enthusiasts – close to Sani Pass, scenic hiking trails, and other attractions. The cottage runs on solar power and offers a sustainable, eco-conscious experience without compromising on comfort. It’s beautifully kept, with cosy interiors, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely fireplace that warmed up the chilly evenings. We appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. The hosts were welcoming, kind, and their hospitality truly made our stay even more special. Tip: Come prepared to unplug and truly unwind – it’s the perfect digital detox. We highly recommend Shiloh Country Cottage for couples, families, or solo travellers looking to reconnect with nature and enjoy a true off-the-grid experience.
