Description

Shonalanga Lodge is a privately owned lodge situated in the spectacular St Lucia Wetland Reserve in the heart of St Lucia. Shonalanga Lodge is surrounded by rain forest, wilderness and the warm Indian Ocean, and offers comfortable accommodation in self-catering units.

Accommodation is offered in either 2-sleeper or 6-sleeper apartments. All units have kitchenettes, some are fully self-catering and others are on a room-only basis. Each unit has patios with outdoor tables and chairs and is equipped with TVs with 8 channels. The units are also serviced daily, and guests have access to a laundry service, free Wi-Fi at the pool area, and braai facilities in the lapa area. Towels are not provided; guests are required to bring their own, and soap is available on request. Meals can also be supplied on request.

Guests are welcome to relax round the swimming pool while enjoying the serenity of the African bush. Undercover parking is provided, as well as bicycle hire. Shonalanga offers 5 open game-viewing vehicles and the guides are well trained. All activities can be booked through the office. Activities include boat cruises on Lake St Lucia, fishing trips, game drives, cultural tours, whale watching, snorkel safaris, hiking trails, and turtle tours to name a few.
