Description

Somabula Natuurreservaat Kampterrein is located on a game farm between Rayton and Cullinan, less than an hour’s drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg. It can accommodate 5 guests per campsite seeking a tranquil escape.

There are 6 campsites where guests can camp under lovely shady trees on grassy sites, with neat ablution facilities fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. Guests can bring their own tents or caravans while enjoying the sight of nyalas, other antelope, and occasionally giraffes grazing nearby. Each campsite also offers a braai area and a water tap.

Here, guests will encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, eland, blue wildebeest, nyalas, zebras, red hartebeest, blesbok, and more, all freely roaming the area. During their bushveld-style getaway, guests will be greeted by birdsong and the early calls of jackals as dusk settles in.

Hiking, 4x4, and mountain biking trails are available. Guests are welcome to bring binoculars, hiking boots, bicycles, cameras, bird guides, braai equipment, and fire starters. It’s truly a getaway where you can relax, connect, spend quality time together, and enjoy nature.
