Stephward Estate is set on a tranquil 4-hectare property bordering the Botanical Gardens, offering guests a peaceful retreat away from the holiday crowds. Ideally located between Margate and Shelly Beach, the estate is just 1.5 km from the popular Uvongo Falls and beach, and within walking distance of the warm Indian Ocean.

Surrounded by lush subtropical gardens dotted with statues and home to peacocks and birdlife, the estate offers a serene country-at-the-sea atmosphere.

Guests can enjoy an on-site restaurant serving à la carte lunches and dinners, as well as a traditional four-course Sunday lunch on the enclosed pool deck, weather permitting. The property is fully licensed and offers a curated wine selection. Stephward Estate also features a clothing design studio and an orchid and exotic plant nursery with over 5000 orchids and Africa’s largest heliconia collection.

Accommodation is located about 150 m from the main building and overlooks a private dam. Each air-conditioned suite has an en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan, fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a built-in cupboard with a hairdryer, and a TV (SABC channels and DVD player). Guests are welcome to bring their own DStv decoder and SIM card, as all rooms are pre-wired for connection. Each unit also features a private patio and secure parking. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at the restaurant and pool deck.
