Storyhouse is situated in the charming seaside village of Kommetjie on the Cape Peninsula, within walking distance of Long Beach. Kommetjie is about a 40-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport, the City Centre, the V&A Waterfront, and Robben Island. Other nearby attractions include Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Groot Constantia, and Cape Point. Wine lovers will find several estates within an hour’s drive, including those in Cape Point, Tokai, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Wellington, and Paarl.

Storyhouse offers both self-catering units and bed-and-breakfast rooms.
The Two-Bedroom Self-catering Unit features a queen-size bed in the main bedroom and bunk beds in the second bedroom. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and washbasin.
The One-Bedroom Self-catering Unit offers a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.
The B&B Room with Juliette Balcony has a queen-size bed, a corner bath with a shower-over-bath, toilet, and washbasin.
The Skye Sternenlicht Room features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, washbasin, and heated towel rail.

The self-catering units each have a well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and coffee machine. The B&B rooms each have a tea- and coffee-making station with a minibar fridge, coffee machine, and kettle.

Guests have access to free Wi-Fi in every unit and room, a communal swimming pool, and a solar power system for uninterrupted comfort during load-shedding. Free on-street parking is also available.

Kommetjie offers a selection of restaurants, a deli selling fresh bread daily, fruit, and vegetables, as well as a filling station, general store, and laundry – all within walking distance of Storyhouse.2 Shopping centers with grocery stores, banks, and other conveniences are located about 7 km away. The long sandy beach is ideal for swimming, walking, jogging, surfing, and kite surfing. Birdwatching and swimming can be enjoyed on the property, while activities such as horse riding, wine tasting, cycling, mountain biking, golf, and tennis are available in the surrounding area.
The self-catering units each have private braai facilities, while B&B guests are welcome to make use of the garden braai area by arrangement with staff. Please note that pets are not permitted.
