Description

Thatching's is a country-style bed and breakfast, ideally located just 10 km from Nottingham Road, in the Midlands. It is also just a short 2 km drive from the N3, which is the major route between Johannesburg and Durban. It is part of the Midlands Meander, which is one of South Africa's premier arts and crafts routes.

Thatchings lies in a beautiful setting of ancient pine trees and rolling lawns, that overlook a picturesque trout dam. It is also completely surrounded by a 300-hectare private game estate. With no fences to inhibit them, impala, zebra, wildebeest, and duikers frequently wander onto the property.

Thatching’s offers a variety of luxury en-suite accommodations, all under African thatched roofs. Each room is tastefully furnished with different cultural inspirations and includes electric blankets and heaters, DStv, flat screen TV, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Thatchings has a guest dining room where guests are welcome to relax and connect to the internet. There are also various spaces within the garden where guests may sit down and enjoy the outdoors. Guests may enjoy our playground area with their kiddies. A laundry and ironing service can be arranged. A limited babysitting service can be provided by prior arrangement.
