Incredible small town accommodation. What an incredible stay! We loved every minute of our accommodation and the town itself. It was boiling hot, but the pool ensured long, relaxed, cool afternoons. Our host was exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Our next stay has already been booked and we can't wait to try the indoor fireplace in winter.

Peaceful, clean. The Cowshed was an amazing escape from city life. Based in the charming town of McGregor, The Cowshed had all the necessary amenities and more! Our host was very friendly and informative about activities to enjoy in the area.

Good. Everything was perfect, all that you could want from a cottage. The only drawback was the lack of a view; it felt a bit claustrophobic, but great 2 days there.

Welcome haven from the heat of McGregor. The photos do not do the Cowshed justice. Spotlessly clean, functional space with complete privacy. It was extremely hot, so the plunge pool was well utilised and an absolute lifesaver. Sandra was a most welcoming host, and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Cosy and charming stay with a kind and hospitable hostess. Wonderful five days in a bitterly cold McGregor, but we were as warm as toast in this gorgeous little cottage. Will definitely be back when it’s warmer to use the cute little plunge pool. Very comfortable bed and a nice strong shower. Everything you could possibly need - and the kindest hostess, Sandra. Lovely restaurants and coffee shops - and a great braai plek outside - but it was a bit too cold and windy for that!

Very comfortable and clean! A perfect weekend getaway! Comfortable, spacious, and very clean! The bedding and mattress was so comfortable, we had a great sleep in the peaceful Cowshed. Sandra was very welcoming and we can definitely recommend the accommodation! Thank you, we will definitely be back!

Exceeded our expectations, highly recommended. What a special place The Cowshed is! A delightful, beautifully repurposed cow shed on the edge of McGregor, overlooking a nature reserve, equipped and decorated with care. The host is a friendly, welcoming and most helpful person.
