Great stay, would recommend and I hope to visit again. I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautiful, peaceful accommodation situated in a quiet, farm-like setting; the perfect escape from city life. The surroundings were beautiful with pretty much only the sounds of nature creating a relaxing atmosphere. The hospitality of the host was outstanding. From the moment of booking, communication was clear, timely, and warm. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure everything was just right. What really stood out was how far the host and her husband went above and beyond when I experienced unexpected car trouble — very early in the morning, no less. Without hesitation, they offered help and assisted me with getting back on the road, showing genuine care and support when it was most needed. That level of kindness and willingness to help was deeply appreciated.

Definitely recommended. Loved it. Great stuff. Comfortable. Grazing cattle. Chickens on the patio. For lovers of our fellow inhabitants of Mother Earth, this is it. The absolute sincerity of the host cannot be price tagged. Mine was a business trip. Would love to spend a holiday with this as the base. Roads are potholed and frankly, it was an adventure driving around them on the road from the farms to town. Definitely recommended for peace and quiet.

Spacious, cosy, well-equipped and comfortable. Been there before and enjoyed the stay again. The hostess was charming and attentive, and even gave us freshly-baked bread. The facilities were great and covered all our needs. The reduced rating for location applies to all the properties in the area and is on account of the access roads which are in a disgraceful condition, though accessible in a normal vehicle at low speed and with care.

Comfortable country accommodation, bad roads in the area. We stayed there on two occasions, a week apart. We had booked the Kingfisher room, which was fairly basic but exactly as described, comfortable and well-equipped. For the second stay we were offered an upgrade to the Guinea Fowl cottage which proved to be well worth the extra cost, and was very spacious and comfortable. The only drawback, which afflicts all accommodation in the area, is the condition of the tarred roads which are terribly potholed and are a disgrace to the authority involved, though some attempt has been made by locals closer to the accommodation to fill in the holes with sand.

Just a little update on the condition of that tar road at present - our locals, including us at The Croft Cottages, have assisted in filling all the potholes on that road, the condition of which will depend on rain which washes out the potholes again.
