The Edge Mountain Retreat is located in Hogsback. From the edge of the cliff, which runs along the side of the property, there are spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and a deep gorge with beautiful, unspoilt indigenous Afromontane forest, often with a show of fascinating swirling mists and cloud formations.

The Edge Mountain Retreat offers a wide range of accommodation options for individuals, families or groups, including self-catering cottages and bed and breakfast rooms. Some are perched on the edge of a cliff, others in a peaceful 15-acre garden setting. Each has its own special character.

All guests staying at The Edge Mountain Retreat can make use of the on-site Restaurant at The Edge, which offers breakfast, light lunches, and dinners with excellent wines to match. The Edge’s Restaurant has a comfortable, informal bar and dining area where guests can read a book, play a game of cards or play chess.

All facilities are furnished with character and in a style of understated quality. The Chartres-designed Labyrinth in the garden is definitely worth exploring.
