Brilliant, ticked all the boxes. Excellent. Like home from home. Felt more like family than guests. Wanted to bring the shower back with us. A great stay.

Warm and friendly. This is a true gem. Sue was amazing, the cottage was exactly what I needed. Small but very well appointed with everything you need. The sherry was a welcome gift, as were the ginger biscuits and the biscuits for my 3 dogs. A dog sitter was arranged for the one night I had to go out, which was very much appreciated. Air fryer, gas stove, WiFi, bath (bliss with the cold weather, but there is a shower as well), warm comfortable bed (although the room is quite small), great outdoor braai area when the weather is better, and even a poop scoop to help keep the small enclosed grass area clean. Loved the walk-in closet for longer stays. Thank you for two wonderfully relaxed evenings.

It feels like your own home. So many small thoughtful things noted. The kitchen is well equipped with even an air fryer and a Bialetti. It's very clean, private and comfortable. The internet is good. One can use the fresh herbs in the garden and there is a private braai, parking and small garden. I will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Lovely overnight cottage which we can fully recommend! What a cute "little gem". Everything you need and more, great attention to detail and really was more than 'fully equipped'. A super quaint cottage!

It was a nice visit, but too short. Very neat, well appointed, beautiful place. The owner provided a lot of information about Montagu; there is so much to do, I will have to come back and check in to Mountain View again and explore the town properly. The owner should get the credit for an outstanding accommodation. Thank you very much.

Fabulous, can highly recommend. Loved our time spent at Mountain View Cottage with our dog. From the lovely private braai/patio area and little garden to the cosy, comfortable, and well-equipped accommodation with all the little extras, it was the ideal place for some much-needed R&R. An easy walk to The Rambling Rose for coffee and pastries and such friendly people. Will definitely go back.

Clean, neat, comfortable - everything you need and very centrally located. Excellent pet-friendly accommodation.
