Quite and relaxing.
Let me share our experience. My wife and I stayed for four nights in a unit called “The Shack,” one of the unique accommodation options in the bush. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons from our stay: Pros. • The unit was clean and had a unique, rustic setup. It’s extremely private and secluded — once the Jacuzzi is warm, it becomes a very romantic spot. • The natural surroundings, wildlife, and bush are well maintained. All public areas were clean and thoughtfully laid out. • Staff were friendly and eager to assist (although, as you’ll see in the cons, this sometimes comes at a cost). • We dined at the on-site restaurant, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. • There are a variety of activities to keep you busy, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Cons. • There was a disconnect between the booking communication (done with Lounize and the reception team) and what the on-site manager told us. Not a major issue, but something they could definitely improve on. • The Jacuzzi is wood-fired, so if you’re not comfortable with making fires, you may struggle. Despite what the staff says, it takes more than one bag of firewood to heat. Fortunately, I’m used to camping and brought extra wood. • Hiking or biking on the farm is only allowed if you pay extra. There is a complimentary mountain trail, but even that requires a paid transfer — even though the gate was only 150 metres from our unit. • The website and documents provided are outdated, containing incorrect information and pricing. This only became clear at checkout, where the response was simply, “Sorry, it’s outdated.” • The restaurant menu online is far more extensive than the one you’re given on-site. By day two, we had tried almost everything. By day four, many of the listed items were unavailable, and the only option left was a toasted tramezzini. • As helpful as the staff is, many things come at an additional cost, which can add up quickly. Overall. Despite the drawbacks, our stay was enjoyable. We’d rate the overall experience a 6 out of 10. It’s ideal for a quiet, relaxing weekend but not suited for adventurers or explorers due to the limitations in access and added fees. I’d be happy to share more details if anyone is looking to enhance the guest experience. With a few adjustments, this place could truly be something special — the kind of getaway dreams are made of.
