The Sunset Villas offers beachfront self-catering accommodation in Laaiplek, on the Cape West Coast in the Western Cape. Almost indistinguishable from Velddrif, Laaiplek lies on the west side of the town closest to the sea, with phenomenal sunsets, it is here where you can enjoy quiet and peaceful days with a variety of amenities within close proximity.

Accommodation comprises 5 luxury Villas and 3 Backpackers for holiday accommodation. Both the Villas and Backpackers are self-catering units with a fully equipped kitchens in the Villas and a small coffee station with only a microwave and fridge in the Backpackers. Unfortunately, the Backpackers have no sea view.

There is an onsite restaurant, Zeezicht Family Restaurant. The restaurant is in the front of the building, offering you beachfront dining experience. The restaurant trades 7 days a week, Monday to Saturdays 9am to 8pm and Sundays from 10am to 3pm.

Velddrif is a busy fishing village located at the mouth of the Berg River. It is quite normal to see fishing boats filled with mackerel, pilchards, anchovies and rock lobsters sailing up the river. As Velddrif lies just 2 km away from the Berg River, which washes out into the nearby St Helena Bay, the village is renowned for its water sports namely surfing, swimming, and boating. Fishing is also a popular pastime here and lures many avid anglers who really revel in fishing in these tranquil surroundings.
