The Wild Farm Backpackers is a laid-back, scenic retreat situated in the heart of the Cape Floral Region along the Garden Route. Perched on a hilltop near the charming village of Wilderness, the farm offers breathtaking views between the Outeniqua Mountains to the north and the warm Indian Ocean to the south.

Originally a working dairy farm, this unique property has been transformed into a welcoming backpackers’ lodge, offering a variety of accommodation options. Guests can choose from comfortable dorm rooms, cosy log cabins, private double rooms, or pitch a tent in the designated camping area.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast and coffee- and tea-making facilities. A fully-equipped, open-plan communal kitchen and TV lounge are available for guest use, along with 2 braai areas for evening cookouts under the stars. The shaded veranda overlooking the ocean is the perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, or soak in the views.

The farm embraces a self-sufficient lifestyle with a vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest from when preparing meals. The atmosphere is warm, social, and relaxed, making it easy to meet new people and enjoy a break from the hustle of daily life.
