Welcoming and great hospitality at the Willow Historical Guest House. What a welcoming overnight stop travelling through to the Western Cape from KZN. The host was so accommodating and the staff super friendly. The room was comfortable and the dinner and breakfast both perfect. Dinner, in fact, was a very high-quality meal - as a vegetarian I received what I can compare with a high-end restaurant pasta dish! 10 out of 10 overall.

The atmosphere takes you back 150 years. The candlelight dining room was brilliant. We were made very welcome by the staff who couldn't do enough for us.

A wonderful experience. An absolute gem of a place, you almost feel as if you've travelled back in time. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. Our highest recommendation!

A lovely, interesting guest house. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the guest house was interesting, full of old worldly charm.

Doggy hotel. Pictures grander than the actual. The accommodation in the guesthouse is far better than the outside rooms. These are not 3 star. The furnishings besides the bed are tatty and need replacing. There wasn't a shower curtain. We took our Border Collie and it was unsuitable, especially for taking her out at night as you are on the main street and other dogs were roaming around. She was really stressed, so we cut our trip short. Secondly, the main house is filled with about 8 dogs that have taken over the pub and the pool area. The place needs an urgent facelift, as does the rest of Willowmore.

The Willow Historical Guest House

Thank you for your review. When you made the booking, it was mentioned to you that we also have dogs; that is why, when we have people with pets, we put them in the rooms across the road. The rooms that you were in have the little stoep. Pets are not allowed in the main house, as the rooms are on the second floor, and having your pet taken in and out at night might be inconvenient to other guests staying upstairs. The bedside tables are antiques (I guess it is a matter of taste). It is a pity that you did not take the time to really experience Willowmore and its people.
