Thorn Tree Bush Camping Sites in the Dinokeng Game Reserve, Hammanskraal, Gauteng, is situated in a malaria-free zone where the Big 5 roam freely. Nature enthusiasts can relish the tranquillity of the surroundings, with brighter stars at night and the captivating sounds of lions, foxes, night owls, and insects.

The accommodation includes 6 private campsites, each accommodating up to 6 guests, nestled in the natural bush. Each campsite has its own private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washbasin, as well as electricity, a braai, and nearby water access. The stands are surrounded by native bushes, shrubs, and trees, providing privacy for each campsite.

The off-grid campsites are exactly as the name suggests – wilderness camping, with no fences. Guests are required to provide their own power, water, and ablution facilities. These unfenced wilderness campsites are located in a game reserve with free-roaming wildlife and are suitable only for experienced wilderness campers who are fully equipped for off-grid camping. No ablution facilities are available.

The private campsites are located on the eastern side of Thorn Tree Bush Camp and have their own entrance gates, allowing for a more secluded environment. A short walk from the campgrounds leads guests through the Thorn Tree garden to the main lapa and swimming pool, which are shared.
