Thota Lodge Weaver Bird is nestled in the vast southern Kalahari Desert of the Northern Cape, ideally located en route to Botswana and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. This accommodation invites guests to experience the raw beauty and tranquillity of the Kalahari. Each unit offers a unique and authentic desert experience, combining rustic charm with unspoiled natural surroundings.

Accommodation is offered in 3 self-catering rooms. Each room can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child and is comfortably furnished with 2 single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed upon request, as well as a child-only mattress. Each room features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. Linen and bath towels are provided. The rooms also include a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, single-plate induction hob, cutlery, crockery, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a bar fridge. Guests have access to a communal garden and braai area.

Guests are welcome to hike along designated farm paths approved by the owners. For those who enjoy exploring, 4×4 self-drive tours of the surroundings are available. The area is a paradise for birdwatchers and insect enthusiasts, with over 100 bird species recorded. Sitting near a watering hole offers excellent opportunities to spot wildlife and capture photographs. Springbok, oryx, and occasionally shy animals such as pangolins and aardvarks may be seen.
