Good evening Willem,
Thank you for your review. I truly appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and take your feedback seriously.
This is the first negative review in the nine years I have been renting out my holiday unit. I take great pride in my property on the South Coast and often use it myself, maintaining it to the standard of comfort I expect in my own home.
The unit is clearly advertised as self-catering, with the description specifying that guests should bring their own towels. As a gesture of goodwill, I offered my personal towels, which were clean and securely stored in my cupboard, but they were declined. Since the unit is self-catering, guests are also responsible for bringing their own toilet paper. The cleaning service provides one roll in each bathroom as a starter supply.
The property is located within a complex governed by a body corporate and its associated rules. If any of these rules impacted the stay, I am open to discussing them with the body corporate for clarity. These rules are standard across most complexes.
The unit is situated on the second floor, and this detail is clearly stated in the listing. The photos also reflect this, ensuring transparency about the property’s layout.
Regarding the breakage deposit, it is outlined that this amount is payable directly to the owner. A breakage deposit is a standard practice for holiday rentals, and this deposit was refunded within three days of departure.
Once again, thank you for your feedback. I value your input and remain open to constructive discussion.
Kind regards,
Marius
