Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.
House Rules
A standard key and breakage deposit is due before or at check-in. The holding amount depends on the length of stay and the standard of the apartment and may be adjusted at the owner’s or management’s discretion.
The holding deposit is completed through a secure link using a credit card. This is merely a temporary hold on the amount and will be released within 14 days after checkout, provided no claims were reported. There will be no actual deduction from your account, and therefore no credit will appear. On your bank statement, you will see the hold, and your available balance will be less than your actual balance. Once the hold is released, the available and actual balances will align again.
If no credit card is available for the holding deposit, the deposit may be paid via EFT. It must reflect in our account before arrival. We will then require your bank confirmation letter to process the refund back to your account.
If neither of the above options is used, a refundable cash or debit card payment must be made before check-in can be completed. A minimum processing fee of R150 will apply for the refund back to your account. No cash refunds will be issued.
Deposits will be refunded within 14 days after checkout, provided everything is in order.
The holding deposit covers incidentals, including but not limited to: lost or broken keys, damage to property, stained or excessively soiled linen, an unreasonably dirty apartment, noise complaints, or any breach of house rules.
All guests are personally met to complete the check-in process, which is scheduled by the hour in advance on a first-come, first-served basis between 14:00 and 18:00. As multiple properties are managed and the team is not based on-site, accommodating specific preferred times may not always be possible; however, every effort will be made to meet guest preferences. Please note that check-ins after 18:00 will incur an additional fee, payable upon arrival before keys are handed over.
The original credit card used for the reservation, along with positive identification of the cardholder, must be presented at check-in.
No keys will be handed over without the above.
