Very good people working there but not at all happy with the value for my money. Good night. I hope you find the email helpful. I am very, very dissatisfied. After paying, I was informed by Tanya that the place I had booked was fully booked and that I would have to find another place at number 99. She tried to help, and so I ended up having to sit at work and look for other accommodation that was more than twice the original amount. But I understood a point there – I asked for arrangements to be made so that I could check in before the booked time of 2pm, even if I had to pay. However, no arrangements were made (I finally had to call the owner of UShaka Guest Manor, and he helped me at 10am). Then I waited for my partner to join. When my partner arrived, she wanted to take a shower, but there was no hot water at all. I informed the woman working there, and it still wasn't sorted out. My partner then decided to find other accommodation for herself. The day after that I also had no hot water. So, for the two days I was there and paid over R4000, I had no hot water at all and had to go to work to shower. Warm like home. It was my parents' first Durban trip, and uShaka Manor Guest House is well positioned by the Umhlanga beachfront. Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was also fresh and personalised. We loved our stay.

Excellent customer service exceeded our expectation. The customer service was incredible, special thanks to Elaine. The decor and ambience were really beautiful, and the cleanliness was excellent. The worst stay ever. The milk and sugar in the rooms were not replaced daily. The dirty dishes were still in the rooms, only the beds were made.
