Description

Vaal Dam Getaway is a charming self-catering holiday home situated on the banks of the Vaal Dam, within the secure Peninsula Estate near Oranjeville. Located just 13 km from Oranjeville and 31 km from Deneysville, this peaceful retreat is ideal for families, groups of friends and fishing enthusiasts seeking a tranquil escape in nature.

This spacious free-standing house can accommodate up to 10 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms and a loft sleeping area. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin and toilet. The second bedroom also contains a queen size bed and makes use of a separate bathroom fitted with a shower, basin and toilet.

The third and fourth bedrooms are located upstairs. Bedroom 3 is furnished with a king size bed and 3 single beds, while Bedroom 4 contains a king size bed and 2 single beds. A third bathroom, located in the loft, is fitted with a bath, shower, basin and toilet.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher, while the adjoining scullery is fitted with a washing machine for convenience. The open plan living area offers comfortable couches, a TV with DStv and a dining table where guests can enjoy meals together.

The living area opens onto a covered patio with a built in braai, bar area and outdoor furniture, extending to a cosy firepit, perfect for starlit evenings. The property is powered by solar energy, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Guests can look forward to breathtaking sunsets over the dam and sparkling night views of Deneysville and the dam wall. Free roaming wildlife such as springbok, zebra and ostrich are often spotted in the surrounding area.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, the dam is ideal for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing and camping. Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment for these activities.
