Had a wonderful time. Room was as described and the hosts were awesome. Had a great stay. They were very accommodating and available when we needed them. Room was what we expected and we had a great time.

Hi Nathaniel, sorry about your experience. Had you let us know at the time, we would have looked at moving you to another unit. As for the park entrance, what caravans? The entry to the parkland in front of the complex is covered by arrangement by ourselves.

False advertising. Not like the pictures. On the fourth floor of a flat with a pub at the back. Not ideal for a relaxing weekend with children.

Sorry for your take, Kris. We generally advertise that the penthouses are at the top of the building (with stairs), so not sure how this got lost in the mix? We are self-catering, so service is limited. But it's your score on location and security that bothers us. We are located more or less at the original Lake Deneys, overlooking the bay with wide views of the dam from almost every room, including the jacuzzi. It's like a mini sea without having the outlay of toll roads. And we have never had a report of any breach in security - no burglar bars, wide open spaces, secure parking for your vehicles, fishing gear, boats, etc. Regards

Unfortunately, all our properties are listed under our banner and sometimes customers don't connect the correct property titles but follow instead the lead pic. Then they are disappointed when they realise on arrival that they've booked the wrong unit despite follow-up booking confirmation. Not a pleasant stay. Not pleasant at all. It's an apartment building near the dam, no swimming pool on site, no direct access to the dam. No WiFi on site, it's by the bar with no internet access. There is a TV, no DStv, you can mirror your phone. The shower leaks, and the kitchen is dirty. If you want to go fishing, you need to drive to what seems like municipal grounds and check in there after the host arranges for you to go in. They have parties at these places till late at night, lots of noise and shouting from morning to late. The swimming pool is said to be by the neighbours; we didn't go check, too many people there with the parties. Didn't enjoy it at all.

So sorry about your disappointment! As I recall, you visited during the festive season and, yes, that's when people do party - a bit like Margate at a fraction of the cost. We have private jacuzzis on site, not a swimming pool. The swimming pool is indeed at the waterfront itself, across the road from our neighbouring pub, the Sisters Ships. Our Ts and Cs do outline this and for record/monitoring purposes, visitors are required to log in at the waterfront; we cover the payment. This is especially applicable for boating and fishing to ensure safety at the water, which can become quite wild - our waves can reach 2m high and our wind is comparable to Cape Town. I guess that's why you gave us a 5 for security - we pride ourselves on being one of the most secure spots in SA, God willing.

Vriendelike diens. Ons het ons kuier vreeslik geniet. Esme en Bronwyn het ons vriendelik verwelkom. Die kos by die "Sisters" restaurant is heerlik en die diens is puik. Ons beveel Cozy Corner aan vir enige paartjie.
