Vinho Verde is a self-catering holiday home located in the quaint seaside village of Franskraal near Gansbaai, right by the ocean. This charming house offers exquisite views of the dancing ocean with breakers enticing guests to join in the fun only a short stroll away to the rocky shoreline.
This double-story house has a sleeping capacity of 8 guests and comprises 4 tastefully furnished bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 2 open-plan kitchens, dining, and lounge areas. The main bedroom is located on the first floor neatly overlooking the beautiful blue ocean. It is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a spa bath, shower, basin, and toilet. Downstairs is the second bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. It leads out to a small balcony with views of the ocean, allowing for early morning coffee chats. The third bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. It boasts direct access to the Jacuzzi and entertainment area. The fourth room is a separate cottage furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet, and also provides access to the jacuzzi. There’s a guest bathroom downstairs fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet.
The downstairs kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. In addition, this house also spoils with a dishwasher for guests’ convenience. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a separate laundry room. The spacious lounge room has comfy seating space, a TV with DStv streaming capability, and boasts with a pool table.
The upstairs lounge is furnished with comfy couches, and TV with full Dstv. It also features a lovely built-in indoor braai area. The upstairs kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas hob, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and features a dining area with a 6-seater dining table and chairs. There’s also a bar nook that leads out to the patio.
The large balcony is covered with an artificial lawn providing a welcome sunbathing or comfy reading under an umbrella shade. The house has driveway parking for 2-4 cars, and is secured with an alarm system.
This part of the Western Cape’s coastline is rugged and raw, with excellent fishing, and shark cage diving, as well as stunning opportunities for scuba divers and snorkelers that want to see the colourful abundance of fauna and flora under the ocean’s surface. The beaches are inviting, perhaps even irresistible, for their long sandy stretches and good swimming.
