Description
Waaihoek Private Game Farm and Lodge is set right on the banks of the Vaal River and approximately 10 km from Warrenton on the N12.
The farm offers 2 self-catering units and 1 lodge which comprises 4 log cabins. The separate self-catering units can accommodate 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. These units feature an open-plan living area and kitchen which is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a microwave, a stove, air-conditioning, crockery and cutlery. The lounge has a comfortable couch and a TV with selected DStv channels. Leading out from the living area is a wooden deck with an outdoor dining set and a gas braai. The deck overlooks the farm with uninterrupted views of the Vaal river.
Schoonuitsicht is a lodge comprising 4 log cabins that are interlinked by a wooden walkway. Two of the log cabins are furnished with 2 double beds and the other two cabins are furnished with a double bed and 2 single beds. Each cabin has a bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin.
The lodge has an open-plan living area and kicthen as well as a separate outdoor ablution facilities with a shower, toilet and basin. The large open-plan living area has a lounge with comfortable leather couches and a TV with DStv. The kitchen is equipped with a double sliding door fridge, a microwave, a stove, an oven, an ice-maker, a dishwasher and a washing machine and air-conditioning. Leading out from the living area is a wooden deck area with a private bar, a gas braai, outdoor furniture, all overlooking the Vaal River. The lodge has its own parking area and a pool.
Activities on the farm include a 4 km riverside trail, fishing, game viewing, bird watching and a veteran car collection to view.
