Sielskos, rustigheid, asemrowende natuur, skoon. Ons wou net 'n paar dae gaan rus. Weg van die gejaag van die stadslewe. Wat 'n pragtige plaas! Die 3 dae daar was sielskos vir my en my man. Die mak plaasdiere is baie besonders. Die gasheer en gasvrou het ons baie welkom laat voel. Baie dankie. Ons sal beslis weer gaan.

Very peaceful and a lovely getaway. Beautiful and peaceful. Cottage was well equipped. A TV was advertised but not in the cottage?

Net om weg te kom, nie te ver uit die stad, en lekker te rus en niks te doen. Ons het 'n plek gesoek waar ons kon rus, weg van selfone en nie te ver van die stad nie, 'n plek waar ons net wou rus sonder om te voel ons moet iets gaan doen. Ons het 'n paar keer deur die area fiets gery en die heuvels buite Stanford bied so 'n plek - naby en tog weg van alles. Watsonia is die mooiste huis, skoon, netjies gemubeuleerd, lekker kombuis en tafel wat lekker kuier. Die het ons vriendelik ontvang en hul persoonlike hand kon jy duidelik sien. Ons het baie boeke gelees, kos gemaak, en lekker uitgerus. Ons sal weer gaan, dit is 'n baie mooi plek.

Wonderful. A perfect house where we enjoyed some good quality time with our young family. Located in the countryside but not too far from the beaches and the lovely town of Stanford. Hosts are very friendly and even helped with car problems. The house was very spacious and clean!

Ons het lekker gerus. Heerlik, mooi en vriendelike gasheer.

Lieflik rustig. Watsonia cottage is so entjie uit Stanford uit op 'n grondpad. Mooi, stil omgewing. Die dekor is lovely en die kombuis is goed toegerus. Ons het elke golden hour op die stoep deurgebring en gekyk hoe die son sak oor die berge en die dag gecheers met 'n glas wyn uit die omgewing (daar is great kelders in die Overberg). Die cottage is op die pad, maar daar is so min verkeer dat dit geen impak het nie. Ons het in die aande gaan slaap met 'n paddakoor en wakker geword met voëltjies wat sing. Die cottage is redelik sentraal as mens Napier, Arniston en Agulhas ook wil gaan verken en die grondpad is in 'n goeie kondisie. Sal dit definitief aanbeveel.

A wonderful family time weekend. Dit was 'n wonderlike naweek. Plaas en area is baie mooi, so ook die cottage waar ons gebly het. Enigste ding wat ons kon voorspel was dalk 'n kol-kol bad vir warm dae om te gebruik en in wintertyd.

Tranquil, scenic, airy. Our stay was really relaxing and distressing. The best part was the beautiful scenery/view! I liked the minimalistic look, but the living area could do with some functional furniture like extra chairs with backs. The coffee table is very low, not ideal for playing games/cards. Great WiFi available but no phone signal (which was fine with us). Quite remote but Stanford, Napier and Hermanus are close enough for a day out.

Enjoyable. Our stay was very nice. Just a few suggestions to the owners. The photos show the fireplaces inside the house, which gives you the impression that you can make a fire inside. The reason we booked this place is that we thought there was a fireplace in the kitchen, which is nice when the weather isn't great. This wasn't the case, and someone had to stand outside and braai while the rest of us were inside because it was cold outside. Rather don't show the fireplace in the photos or make a point to say that you can only use the outside braai, which was also not in the photos. Then the photos are also misleading and look like it is very isolated, which in a way it is, but we were right next to the host's house, so it felt like we were being watched the whole time. We were looking for something more isolated. Then the host should have a look at the roof as it is very loud when the wind is blowing, and it was very difficult to sleep with all the noise. Other than that, the house is very nice, and we enjoyed the getaway. I just think the host should be more transparent with the fireplaces as well as the fact that they are right next to this house. Perhaps show this in the photos.
