We will definitely visit again with friends seeking a relaxed and beautiful environment. In one word, excellent (in all respects). The information sent prior to arrival was concise and most helpful. The unit was well furnished and very comfortable. The location and atmosphere being in close proximity to the Cederberg mountains was ideal and precisely what we wanted.

Peaceful, beautiful escape with a fantastic host. Highly recommended! We absolutely loved our stay at The Wild Olive. You’ll struggle to find a better host than Simon—he truly went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable throughout. Just a heads-up: the cabin is about 20–30 minutes down a dirt road, which makes it wonderfully secluded. We loved that it felt like the middle of nowhere, while still being close enough to town if you need anything. We did a lovely hike on the property itself, which was a highlight. We also tried one of the bigger Cederberg hikes, but we wouldn’t necessarily recommend that unless you're prepared for a longer drive—many of the central trails are quite far from the cabin. If we had a do-over, we’d soak up more time at the cabin instead of venturing so far out. All in all, a peaceful, beautiful escape with a fantastic host. Highly recommended!
