Wonderful Karoo guest house experience. This has to be the best place to stay in the Karoo. Many of the Karoo towns are run down and dilapidated. But then drive 35 km off the tarred road and you get to this charming country house with its 4 free-standing rooms with bedroom, sitting room and bathroom, all quite old in style, but very comfortable. Zeekoegat is a working sheep farm, with the sheep being shorn for their wool while we were there. The dinner was the best meal we had the whole time we were away to see the flowers in Namaqualand. It was served in a very elegant lounge cum dining room. We all agreed that we had never before eaten such delicious lamb. I can highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience the Karoo to book a night at this venue.

Absolutely unforgettably delicious - so glad we spent the night there! We knew we were driving on a gravel road, something that my husband really enjoyed, especially because it had been raining a little and the road kept him busy.
