"A lovely and beautiful destination. Great walks, nature and golf course. We go to Clarens at least 2 - 3 times a year, and use it as a stop-over to my holiday home in Natal. The only thing which is concerning is that the prices in stores are increasing higher than expected, and Clarens needs a proper "Spar" type supermarket (proper hygiene/safety/procedures etc.). The 2 currently in Clarens leave a lot to be desired."
"The National roads are so shocking that it's difficult to get to Fouriesburg. It's a shame. Otherwise it's a beautiful part of the country."

"Its a laid back town with enough for every traveler. Can be used a great stopover before crossing over into Lesotho, just 90km from the renowned AfriSki. A choice of restaurants to satisfy that traveling hunger bug. Fairly very safe."
"Definitely will visit them again, because there are so many places to try out there for the food. We will defnitely go back to The Highlander, we had lunch with pizza's and chips, then dinner was crispy Eisbein and Artist's Cafe had breakfast with roosterkoek and savoury mince and toasted chicken mayo with filter coffee, and at Post House Restuarant we had chicken peri-peri livers and dagwood and chips. The Silo Padstal also has nice things and we bought potatoes and apples to take home. Definitely will visit in future again. Lovely place."
