Good value and attentive host but some facilities could do with improvement. We had a mostly pleasant stay and the owner was very helpful in communicating and assisting with the water issues on Thursday. We understand that at the price point we shouldn't expect much over the basic amenities, but that said, some tips on what would make the accommodation great: The electrical connections could do with some work from a safety and usability point, as light switches for various areas would help along with some labels to identify circuits. The water pump had an outside switch which doubled as a patio light at night and appeared to be related to the water supply interruption on the 1st morning which was quickly addressed, but some labels will help guests who may need this detail. The fridges worked sufficiently in the freezer section but the fridge compartments aren't cold enough. It could be as simple as levelling them to restore normal operation, or a thermostat. The stove being gas had the burners misaligned during cleaning prior to arrival, which was an easy fix but other guests might not recognise this small detail. The bathroom plumbing has only one working basin tap which can also be remedied with a few fittings from the existing plumbing. The container sections lacked insulation which was noticeable when the frost hit (a rare occurrence so close to the coast). Some expanding foam around the doors and cracks will help with soundproofing and draughts, and rhinoboard against external walls would make a huge improvement in insulation. We didn't notice any leaks during the rain which is good and the pizza oven worked well. We sighted some buck and an owl and the location was very peaceful and safe. There is a new development starting nearby which will hopefully not disrupt the peace too much during construction, and the causeway being closed means a detour via a gravel road until it's completed which results in a +/- 15 min longer trip to J-Bay, but the gravel road is one of the best maintained roads I have ever encountered and is suitable for any vehicle.

Relaxing family weekend getaway with the dogs. Lovely rustic getaway as a family with our 2 Beagles in tow. The backyard is enclosed with the front open to a lovely deck and garden view. The beach is a short drive away and a shop is within walking distance. We were greeted by our lovely host who showed us around the property and shared all the information about the area. We will definitely be back again.

Most peaceful wknd away i had. The stay was awesome, so peacefull and beautiful. I will definitely go again.
