Sublime! The photographs simply do not do the log home justice. It is a wonderful escape from life and so comfortable and inviting. The surroundings are simply stunning with easy access to the dam on foot. It was super easy to get our key and the information and guidelines were very clear and easy to follow. We were even made aware of local activities taking place during our stay, which I thought was really thoughtful. We will definitely be back!

Lovely for families living busy lives to get away and remember what's important. Our stay at a log home was just what we needed as a family living the busy city lifestyle. Cozy, relaxing, and unforgettable escape in nature. The Log Home at Buffalo Creek has truly become our home away from home. We had the chance to experience everything it has to offer. Friday gave us perfect weather for stand-up paddling on the beautiful Buffeljagsrivier dam, followed by a relaxing evening in the jacuzzi. Saturday brought colder weather, but we embraced it fully — cooking a delicious potjie and watching the rugby by the cozy fireplace inside. It was the perfect winter weekend experience. Our host was wonderful and sent us lots of helpful information and recommendations for things to do in the area. We will definitely be back!

Scenic. Silence. Relaxation. Braai. We were looking for accommodation for a work trip, but now I will have to come back for a weekend/holiday. A log home in Buffeljagsrivier is a lovely getaway destination. We really enjoyed the kol-kol bath! One evening we sat in the bath until 22:00 and listened to the crickets, the African night owl and the spotted owl.
