Charming, peaceful, rural, pretty, convenient, historic, cultural experience. Charming cottage, centrally located. You have the most gorgeous view of the labyrinth, which is a part of the Laurence van der Post Memorial. You also have a view of a small but pretty stream and the beautiful historic Dutch Reformed Church. You are literally next to a great coffee shop, run by the kind and delightful Mercedes. The Artist's Cafe is a 2-minute walk and Emily's Coffee Shop is a three-minute walk away, if you are looking for variety. It is self-catering, so we could make small meals like wraps. There is a large double bed and several smaller single beds. The bedding is great quality. The accommodation had everything we needed! The manager of the accommodation was accommodating and kind. We arrived later than we expected, but she welcomed us. I would stay here again!

Gemaklik, knus, gerieflik. Ons het heerlik oornag na 'n moeilike dag op die pad. Die kothuis is goed ingerig, netjies en gerieflik, selfs vir meer as 'n oornagstop. Ons sal beslis weer daar oornag as die geleentheid hom voordoen.

Dit is 'n briljante plek. Het baie lekker geslaap. Love it! Die plek is pragtig. Ons het baie lekker gebly vir 3 dae en ons het dit baie geniet. Dit is die beste plek in Philippolis. Baie rustige plekkie. Ons sal graag weer wil kom kuier.

Excellent stay, will definitely visit again. We loved our stay at Van der Post! It was a beautiful home with thoughtful finishes and very comfortable. Ouma Anna restaurant was also a highlight.

Ons sal beslis weer hier oorbly! Dit was 'n pragtige blyplek met alles wat mens nodig het na 'n lang dag se ry. Die stil en rustige atmosfeer was wonderlik! Super vriendelike gasheer, dankie ons het baie lekker gebly! Baie lekker etes beskikbaar by 'Ouma Anna' restaurant.

This was a disappointing stay. The building is extremely cold inside. The kitchenette is rather disappointing for a self-catering unit, and the tap at the sink is broken. There is no table to sit at while having a meal. A security light on the building next door switched on and off throughout the night, flooding the unit with light. This was pointed out to the operator. On top of this, the noise of the geyser/thermostat repeatedly going on and off during the night was very annoying. The bathroom is very basic.

Absolutely stunning! Lovely little place and quaint little town. Perfect place for star gazing. Will definitely recommend the place to stay over. Thank you for a beautiful home away from home.

Baie rustige kuier in 'n pragtige stil omgewing. Pragtige, keurig gemeubileerde eenheid. Heerlike oase na 'n lang reis.

Lovely stay in the Karoo. This is a lovely little spot in Philippolis. We enjoyed our overnight stay and would happily book here again. The food from the restaurant was also divine! Yummy Karoo lamb!
