Beautifully refurbished apartment, stunning river views, and an exceptional host. We recently stayed at Addo River View Lodge and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, Jade made us feel completely welcome—she met us at check-in and was amazing. I must have bombarded her with dozens of questions about the area, and she answered everything with such patience and genuine warmth. She’s an outstanding host who goes out of her way to make sure you’re settled in and have everything you need. The apartment itself has just been beautifully refurbished and was exceptionally comfortable for our family of two adults and three small children. There was plenty of space, modern finishes, and all the conveniences you’d expect. The setting on the river is stunning—perfect for relaxing and taking in the views. Having stayed all around the world, I can honestly say this is one of the most welcoming and well-appointed places we’ve visited. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful location with exceptional hospitality.

Neat, quiet and comfortable. We had a very nice stay. Everything we needed was available.

Sweet spot, but with some location concerns. Excellent customer service from the manager, Byron. Very comfortable beds, and a beautiful view. Safety was a tremendous concern but I believe it is being managed. Couches need to be renewed- very uncomfortable to sit on, and overall a little excessively priced. We still had a lot of fun with lots to do in the region.

Very pleasant stay and just what we were looking for. Neat, clean, and close to the Addo Elephant Park. Nicely priced too.

Not what was expected for such an expensive stay. Initially we were informed 3 days before we were due to arrive that there was an error with our booking and we no longer had accommodation, then already paid 50% deposit. With a struggle then did stay in the house. Disappointed that there wasn't a review to go read. Hopelessly overpriced for what you get. Nice view and on the river, but the kitchen and bathrooms (of which there were no photos) are extremely old and shabby. Shower curtains are the order of the day, with one of the showers not even draining when you shower - so you're standing in cold, chilly water while showering. Faucets leak and make unearthly noises. Dishwasher also leaked water. Lots of potential if serious renovation work can be done. Would definitely not recommend in the condition the house is in now, sorry.
