Description
African Dream Lodge is a beautifully furnished lodge located in the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve near Bela-Bela. The reserve is home to wildlife such as warthogs, kudus, klipspringers and even elephants that often visit the area close to the lodge.
The house can accommodate 12 guests and comprises 4 air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms and a loft with an en-suite bathroom as well. Each bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed. Some of these rooms open onto a deck with views of the surroundings. There are 2 bathrooms fitted with a bath and shower while the remaining bathrooms both have a shower only. The loft is ideal for children and contains 2 single beds while its en-suite bathroom has a shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, washing machine, and ice machine. Breakfast can be enjoyed at the breakfast counter. The spacious living area is open plan and contains a dining table for 10, a bookshelf, a ceiling fan, a fireplace, a comfy lounge suite, and a TV with a full bouquet of DSTV. Free Wi-Fi is available for our guests.
Mabalingwe Nature Reserve offers the Big 5, and there is a private self-drive game-viewing vehicle at the lodge, which can be rented for an additional daily charge. This vehicle can be driven into the restricted green game viewing area of the reserve. A legal drivers license is required.
The house opens onto a wooden deck that boasts spectacular views of the valley and features a pool table as well as a dart board to keep guests entertained. On hot summer days, the swimming pool is a great spot to cool off while the deck has ample shaded areas to unwind.
Mabalingwe Nature Reserve also offers fun activities for visitors to enjoy, including a heated swimming pool, horse riding, guided game viewing, squash, tennis, putt-putt, a day spa, and restaurants.
