Homey, comfortable and relaxing. The stay at Apple Cottage was phenomenal. The host was amazing in terms of guiding us to successfully getting the place, welcoming us in and giving an overview of the cottage and the wonderful pets that are there to greet and mingle too. It was a short-notice booking for the Tiletoria MTB race, but we are so happy we booked it because the Elgin MTB trails were magical and just 5 minutes from this cottage.

Our stay was amazing, tranquil, peaceful and full of adventure. Overnight stay of 1 day was well worth it. Peaceful and tranquil surroundings with Hottentots mountains as a majestic backdrop. The bird life was plentiful with an occasional hoopoe resting close by. We were greeted by Blessing, who was friendly and helpful with everything. The domestic animals were a delight: Bailey, Max, Sophie and Dennis, the cat, because we were missing our animals. Our host kept in contact with us at all times. The booklet in the apartment was very comprehensive and detailed. Negatives: no handle to close the barn door from the inside to the bathroom; although your dishes are collected to be washed, a dish towel of some sort to wipe up any spillage (did not want to use the bathroom towels). Loved the open piping for that industrial look; taps, unfortunately, do not indicate which is hot or cold. Be aware that the hot tap becomes extremely hot to the touch.
