Disconnect & reset by Barn Owl! Rita was excellent! Our family really enjoyed the accommodation, surroundings and farm life and have many good memories of the weekend. Barn Owl will probably not suit everyone's taste, but it is the best for a "disconnect & reset" from the hectic society. The fact that there is no internet or television is a plus. It is also well located if you want to explore the wider area, such as a breakfast in Riversdale or the playgrounds in Mossel Bay/George. We will definitely visit Barn Owl again.

Very aesthetically pleasing, peaceful and quiet. We loved and enjoyed the peace and quiet of farm living but also the family atmosphere in their home. Rita was a great host and she knows how to make her guests feel welcome, and she goes the extra mile. We were a bit disturbed by the long gravel road from where we came from, but drove around. The house was clean, very aesthetically pleasing and homely.

Quaint & good value for money. A quaint cottage, good value for money. Neat and the hosts are friendly. My kids were too afraid to sleep in the loft, as the stairs are quite steep. There was a sleeper couch in the lounge that we used instead for them. They were comfortable there. The cottage is off the grid. There is no oven, but a gas hob and microwave. The indoor fireplace is also great for an indoor braai. We had some issues with the gas geyser at night not providing enough hot water, which was a bit uncomfortable. We didn't want to bother our hosts to fix the issue, but I'm sure they would have sorted it out for us if we had asked.
