Rural peace in a quirky little country town. We were met by Ndileka as pre-arranged, and welcomed into the house, and then seen off the premises when we left the next day. The room and other facilities (big kitchen, lounge etc) were fine. The only downside was our bathroom across the hall from the room. Not a deal-breaker, but a private en-suite is always nicer. There were security gates and/or shutters everywhere except our room, which led onto the stoep (patio), so we felt a little "isolated/anxious" at night, especially as we were the only guests at the time, and you can't really see if you have neighbours. Some general maintenance is needed (some shutters are rotting, as is the floor at the back door). There is parking on the property behind a locked gate. Other than the main road, streets are not tarred, and will be very muddy in wet weather. But the town has country charm.
