Charming cottage with stunning views, cozy comfort, and peaceful escape. I had such a lovely stay at The Stables Cottage — it’s full of character and history, having once been a horse stable and later a tasting room. The setting is beautiful, with incredible views over the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and the Groenland Mountains. The cottage itself is cozy and well-equipped, with a comfy queen bed, a small lounge area, and a fully stocked kitchen for self-catering. Comfortable, beautiful and peaceful. Very nice and comfortable. Everything you need. Would like to stay longer than 2 days. Location is perfect for being close to town and other wine farms, but out of the hustle and bustle.

Great. Perfect if you're in the area for MTB trails. We went for the weekend with the intention of riding the MTB trails around Grabouw. The farm is approximately 5 km from the area's major trails, which is great. We rode the bikes to the start of the trails. The farm and cottages themselves were great. Host, Mel, was also great. We will definitely be back to stay when in the area for those trails again.

A peaceful and relaxing stay on a beautiful farm. The Stables cottage was so comfy and cosy and had the most beautiful views out over the vineyards to the mountains. Mel and her family couldn't have done more for us, and we were made to feel thoroughly at home! Thank you, Mel!

Excellent, we are definitely coming again! We loved the beautiful and peaceful setting. The farm is a lovely retreat! We particularly liked the indigenous garden and pond on the farm. There were lots of birds around the water. It is a lovely place to sit with your morning coffee! Mel was a great hostess, thanks for filling up the dam for us!

Cute cottage next to vineyards. My wife and I had a very nice weekend away at the Stables Cottage. It has direct views over an adjacent vineyard with some mountain views in the background. The cottage is cute with a nice little indoor fireplace for the cold winter days. It is fully equipped with upmarket brands. It is private and romantic. Outside is a nice private seating area with a moveable braai that we used twice to cook dinner and enjoy the local wines. It's located at the beginning of the Elgin Valley Wine Route, a must-do excursion.

Very nice place to stay. Peaceful farm setting. The accommodation was wonderfully clean and tidy! The location is peaceful and in a beautiful rural setting! We had a great stay and had a great rest!
