Beautiful place in the Karoo. Biesieslaagte is a beautiful house. We were spoiled with the most delicious milk tart that awaited us after a long day on the road. Will definitely stop there again and then stay 2 nights. One night is not enough.

This was hands down our best Karoo trip ever. The Hardemanskaroo climbed straight into our hearts through Biesieslaagte. Everything here feels immense - the open space, the veld and the fauna, the endless blue sky, the pitch-dark nights with stars like we had never seen before. The farmhouse is equipped with a lot of everything. It was done extremely neatly and sensitively. The reading material about the area was fantastic. Michael de Jongh's book about the Karretjiemense of the Great Karoo forever deepened my perspective on the history of the area, as did the book about the Korbeelhuisies of the world. It is an authentic farm, but also so beautifully decorated, you immediately feel at home and spoiled at the same time. We couldn't believe our eyes when we walked in - we travel regularly in the Karoo where people are extremely hospitable. However, we were bowled over because we had never been so generously received! How much food awaited us - lamb chops, sausages, eggs, roosterkoek with butter and apricot jam, as well as wine, beer and milk tart! It was a feast to be able to drink an ice cold beer when we arrived! The indoor braai and lapa with its traditional bush shelter are both excellent. We are already planning our next getaway to Biesieslaagte - next time we will stay much longer than 3 nights. Thank you so much for a trip of a lifetime and for sharing the greatness of the area!

Idyllic and indescribably beautiful. It was an unforgettable experience to stay in that beautiful house with such beautiful scenery. The beautiful Karoo plains take your breath away there on Biesieslaagte and then you walk into that house and every corner holds a surprise that awakens all your senses, the smells, aromas, beauty and silence make the worries melt away. The milkman and fresh bread and jam and butter that await you were so hearty and tasty that at the end we stood and ate it all and didn't braai at all. There was braai wood ready for us and the outside braai next to the farm pond is very romantic. Uncle Andries came to drop by and is a really nice person whose hospitality and love for Carnarvon radiates from him. It's a beautiful town with beautiful people. The starry sky was special and those beds were like sleeping on clouds, I just wanted to tie them to the roof and take them with me. More of my family and I will definitely be visiting in the future and staying much longer, because at Biesieslaagte you just feel at home.

Karoo hospitality at its best. Exceptionally pleasant stay with very special Karoo hospitality. Attention to fine detail with fresh flowers, mint and rosemary and olive branch. Delicious milk tart and sandwich on arrival.

Neat and nice accommodation. Karoo people are hospitable! Very nice stay. What a pleasant experience, so many surprises, milk tart, freshly baked bread, butter and jam. So neat and everything delicious. Would recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic place, very clean, tasteful and smells very nice. The place is perfect, it's welcoming and it smells so good, it's tastefully furnished and we were spoiled with home-baked bread and jam, eggs, rusks and a milk tart in the fridge. What a wonderful experience.
