Pleasant surprise that exceeded expectations. The self-catering cottage is situated in a quiet part of Barrydale and offers comfort and safety. The owner has a wealth of knowledge about Barrydale and the surrounding area and is very happy to give advice and make recommendations. We had lovely spring weather and did not use the inside fireplace, but used the electric blanket for some extra warm comfort at night. Thank you for the bowl of fresh fruit, filtered water and milk in the cottage. A plus point is also the safe off-street parking (behind a remote-controlled gate) under a shade structure. Fantastic! I recommend this accommodation to everyone. Magriet is a wonderful hostess with an excellent grasp and understanding of Barrydale. We visited all the places she recommended; every place met or exceeded our expectations. Her accommodation is spotless and well maintained.

Quite and wonderful. This was the second time we came to Birdsong Barrydale and it was great again. It felt like coming home once more.

Spacious, friendly, accommodating. We had a lovely stay at Birdsong. Spacious cottage with everything we needed. The only negative feedback is that the pool wasn't really in a state that we could swim in - in December when we particularly looked forward to cooling down. It has since been addressed.
