Birdsong Barrydale is situated in the heart of Barrydale and offers self-catering accommodation in a bright and beautifully appointed unit located on the owner’s property, featuring a private entrance and a secluded garden.

The accommodation is ideal for 2 guests and comprises a bedroom with an extra-long king-size bed and a dressing table. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin.

Guests have access to their own fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Complimentary rusks, fruit, and milk are provided. The living area features comfortable seating, a fireplace, and a TV, with free Wi-Fi available. During the summer months, guests are welcome to use the outdoor swimming pool between sunrise and sunset.

Birdsong Barrydale is centrally located and within easy reach of restaurants, hiking trails, a nursery, and cycling routes. Visitors can enjoy swimming in a natural rock pool in the heart of the Tradouw Pass, one of Thomas Bain’s most scenic mountain passes. The Saturday Market at Môreson offers a taste of local charm. At the same time, the Bertus Cooke walking trail provides an easy two-hour circular route with breathtaking views of the town and unique Renosterveld vegetation. Guests can stop by Blue Cow, Barrydale’s own “waterfront,” for their famous apple pie and ice cream, or sample a range of award-winning local brandies at the Joseph Barry Distillery. Other attractions include guided tours at Barrydale Hand Weavers, gin tasting at Metanoia, and a visit to the Boekehuis, Barrydale’s beloved bookshop filled with literary treasures, Africana, and fascinating finds.
