Enjoyable. It could be a beautiful place; the setting is great, but more attention to maintenance of units is required. Our TV did not work, and the first night the squeaking bathroom door woke my partner up every time we used the bathroom. I must say it was promptly fixed on request. However, there were other minor issues. But the food was great and a very obliging chef who catered to my requirement for gluten-free food, and the manager was very helpful and did try to fix the TV problem, but was unsuccessful.

Dear Janet Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. As you know, we did discuss these points with you during your stay, and I’m glad you also found the Lodge beautiful and the setting so enjoyable. With regard to the TV, Portia did her best to assist, but the issue was not with the TV itself (we had already placed two TVs in the room) but with the DStv decoder, which unfortunately could not be resolved during your stay. We have since purchased a brand-new decoder, and the sound problem has been fully resolved. I am sure that the sounds of the bush were more enchanting than a TV. We did offer you a room with a working TV and you declined. This was all sorted out when you were here. As for the squeaking door, thank you for pointing it out—we attended to it immediately, and it has been fixed. Blyde River Canyon lodge het my honeymoon gered. Foto's op die webtuiste pas nie by die kamer wat ek gekry het toe ek by Blyde River Lodge ingeteken het nie. As dit nie vir Blyde River Lodge was wat so op hulle stukke was nie sou my wittebrood 'n totale katastrofe gewees het!

Ons was baie tevrede en vriendelik ontvang. Blyde River Canyon is goed geleë. Rustige omgewing. Ontbyt baie lekker. Kan van alles eet. Kamer is mooi en gemaklik.

The room was excellent and the meals were delicious. We were welcomed professionally and heartily by the staff and were always aware of their willingness to provide excellent service.
