Peaceful with animal companions! So peaceful! Our campsite, #18, was quite far from reception, tucked away in a very private little patch of bush. The little kitchen and bathroom were clean and very useful - lots of shelves to keep our belongings safe from the visitors! We were joined by a pair of beautiful genets both evenings as we braaied. We were careful to make sure they didn't get any snacks from us. The Nyala kept us company for most of our stay too - what a gem of a place! Note the conservation fee in the venue description. Well worth it! There was good Wi-Fi at reception, but there was also sporadic connectivity at our actual campsite too. We were able to receive and send WhatsApp messages most of the time.

Peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful stay at campsite 18. The stand is far from other stands. At night, bushbabies, bats, genets, and hyenas visit you. Bonamanzi has many roads you can drive and is a wonderful place, especially if you're a birdwatcher.

Absolute peace and happiness. What can I say? I totally enjoyed it, and the beautiful ladies working in reception, wow, their energies just made my day. Keep up the good work, treatment is perfect, camping sites stunning, and hearing all the animals at night like a hyena, wow, loved it. Thank you for having us.

Unforgettably delicious. Very nice, the campsite is very neat, the ablution block is also very neat and clean. The only suggestion I would like to make is that they should look at the water pressure in the ablutions. As soon as more than one person is showering, there is no pressure at all and the water almost doesn't even come out of the tap. Other than that, it's a nice getaway, will definitely go again, but for longer. Quiet place but not value for money. It's a beautiful place but not value for money. We stayed at the communal bathroom (not a private ablution) and it cost us R615 per night for a campsite. The ladies bathroom was locked and we had to share with the men until they brought another key. There is no signal and the WiFi only works sometimes, so you have to drive far to get to the office.

Best campsite I've been to. Huge sites, private, impala and nyala are your neighbours. Private ablution is great. Family of 4 to one toilet/shower is okay, if you are sharing with multiple families or big groups you will need to time your ablutions appropriately. The map of the reserve is useless and is of no resemblance to the actual roads, apparently, they working on it. We got hopelessly lost and eventually made our way back using Google Maps, at least cell coverage is good. Roads are doable in a normal car, good ground clearance would be an advantage. We had to turn back a few times due to thick sand or huge ruts and nearly got stuck a few times particularly the road down to the flood plains where my car bottomed out continuously. Also had to move the odd tree or branch knocked by elephants. Didn't see any game except buck. Free WiFi in camp was an unexpected bonus. Restaurant food is very average and only 2 options available. Place was quiet and peaceful. Barely saw any other guests.

Beautiful and clean campsites. Bonamanzi was a beautiful reserve, it felt very safe and the facilities and campsite themselves were very clean and the private ablutions were brilliant.
