Ideal getaway. Silence, braai, rowing and bird watching. Very nice stay! The log cabin is the perfect feeling for a getaway. We stayed 2 nights and braaied both nights. The first night outside and the 2nd night we used the indoor braai because the wind was blowing. So very convenient to be able to have an indoor braai as well. We enjoyed the mornings sitting on the stoep with a cup of coffee. It was also very nice to just carry two chairs down to be able to sit right next to the river - it was probably one of the nicest experiences there, because within an hour we saw quite a few birds that are not very common, e.g. the Hammerhead, Osprey, Great Spotted Fish and Crested Fish. The canoe is also a wonderful part of this reservation - we also enjoyed it immensely!

Beautiful river stay. Came with friends and we really loved the stay. Beautiful location and such welcoming hosts. The cottage is cosy and it had everything we needed. Loved seeing the incredible variety of birds from the deck!
