Quiet, comfortable. We were on one of the new stands. The stand was nice and big with lovely shade. We missed not being in the crowd of people and got exactly that. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful in the park and on the farm. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyable and beautiful. It is on a quiet remote farm by the river. Lots of shade and dead silence at night, leaving one to really enjoy all that nature has to offer, including owls. Bushbuck roaming freely as well, and it was so good to see. We were fully aware that there are only solar lights here and there and gas geysers. This was perfect and working well. We stayed for 3 weeks and had the best weather as a bonus. Well done to Charlesford.

Silence and natural beauty, a true refreshment for the soul. Despite travelling in a vehicle that couldn't reach the main campsite due to the previous week's heavy rainfall, the friendly people accommodated us at an alternative site. We prefer 'off-grid' campsites. The 'rustic' ablutions were 100% in line with this. Everything was spotless and worked as it should. The peace and quiet was a relief for the soul, with only a few ducks and even the call of an osprey being heard now and then. The surroundings are beautiful and every adventurer's dream. We tried to contact you twice unsuccessfully when you didn't arrive at the agreed time - however, you arrived after midnight. Our campsite does not accommodate an after-midnight check-in.
