Chartwell House is a guest house nestled in Port Owen, Velddrif on the Cape West Coast, located just 140 km from Cape Town. Port Owen is a marina in the town of Velddrif with 3.5 km of waterways. The marina is surrounded on 3 sides by the Great Berg River and is 1 km from the harbour mouth where the river meets St. Helena Bay. This bay, the largest on the West Coast of Africa, offers the finest sailing conditions on the South African coastline due to its sheltered nature and orientation to the prevailing summer wind.

Accommodation is offered in 3 individually decorated guest rooms that were built with lots of beautiful West Coast light and graced with palette of sand, sea and sky in mind. Each room has its own private entrance, built-in wardrobes, and a beautiful shower en suite with hotel quality amenities. Room facilities include a complimentary tea and coffee tray, and a workspace or dressing table with universal plugs. Universal plugs are also located on each side of the bed for easy access to USB ports and 2-pin plugs. There are no TV's in the rooms, however there is Wi-Fi for guests entertainment as well as a TV in the lounge.

Chartwell House offers a full English breakfast each morning that includes a buffet with fruit, yoghurt, homemade scones, cheese platter, cereal, juice and toast. Pork sausage, bacon, fried tomato and eggs are made to order, and there are often specials such as waffles and pancakes.

In the cooler evenings relax around the outdoor fire-pit while enjoying a quiet sundowner. Unlimited Wi-FI is available. Secure on-site parking is available.
