Fantastic. We had a fantastic stay. The host was great and answered any enquiries prior to our visit promptly as well as during our stay. The view from the balcony was lovely and the setting was the best. All the facilities were available as advertised and we cannot fault anything with the unit or the hosts. The only negative thing to say about our time in Clarens is that the roads in the village could be a challenge to a normal family sedan as they are mainly gravel, but that is not the host's fault at all.

Hi Stephen Thanks so much for your wonderful feedback. We try to be on hand if you need anything but also like to give guests their privacy. We adore the views; that was what sold us the property! The sunsets and sunrises are really special with the mountain backdrop. We are working on the roads with the municipality - Van Reenen and Le Roux were graded about 18 months ago, but sadly they haven't maintained them. However, we as a community are striving to improve the situation on all the dirt roads in the village. We have committees who are continually working behind the scenes to get action. Our venue of choice when we travel from the Western Cape to KZN. Cleanliness is a de facto issue for my wife and me. The hosts have ensured that their venue sets a high bar in this area. We have been very frustrated by many self-catering venues not having adequate kitchen utensils available. To our amazement, Clarens had more than enough. What a pleasure it was to see all the various manuals on hand if you needed to work out how to use a particular item. Take the time to buy a permit and a map for the mountain and river walks around the Clarens Conservancy area from Mandy. But more than that, enjoy your afternoon sundowner on the balcony as the last rays kiss Mount Horeb in front of you.

Thanks for your lovely review, Les. We are really pleased you found the unit well-equipped - and especially the kitchen. We have tried to make the studio a proper self-catering unit and not just a kettle and microwave. I am extremely pedantic about cleanliness as well - I am glad it shows! Rustig, veilig en gerieflik. Dit was 'n heerlike verblyf. Die uitsig was mooi en die plekkie was toegerus met alles wat mens nodig het vir 'n week se wegbreek. Die gasheer en gasvrou was baie gaaf en vriendelik.

Gemaklik, stil en heerlik. Dit was een van die lekkerste en gemaklikste plekke om te bly. Alles wat nodig was, was daar en Mandy het ons hartlik verwelkom. Selfs voor ons aankoms was inligting i.v.m. restaurante, regte pad om te volg en weerstoestande met ons gedeel. Die groot kombuis maak die plekkie definitief gemaklik vir 'n verlengde verblyf. Die pragtige uitsig oor die berge was 'n bonus.

Skoon. Veilig. Ontspan. Fantasties! Rus en geniet! Love Clarens on Collett! Ons het Clarens on Collett cottage ongelooflik baie geniet! Daar is alles en meer as wat mens nodig het. laat mens so welkom voel en sorg dat mens 100% uitgesort is en net kan ontspan. Mens voel veilig, mens rus en geniet die mooiste uitsig van die berge. Ons sal nerens anders bly as ons weer Clarens toe gaan nie! Dankie vir julle ongelooflike gasvryheid en dat ons van julle pragtige plek gebruik kon maak. Julle loop die ekstra myl vir julle gaste!

Tranquil, awesome and spotless. The Clarens on Collett was awesome. Spotless, beautifully decorated and modern. Mandy was very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.
